Patient Screening & Outreach Clinic
Each fall, staff from Shriners Healthcare for Children – Twin Cities travel to Rapid City to hold a Screening Clinic for children up to the age of 18 that are having concerns with their bones, muscles, joints and/or other orthopaedic conditions. Specialists that are leaders in their field, and have advanced training and experience in caring for children, see new patients at the clinic to determine if they can benefit from the specialized services available at Shriners Healthcare. Appointments are also available for second opinions at these clinics.
While here, the medical staff also schedules appointments at our Outreach Clinic for children who are currently seen at Shriners Healthcare for Children. This usually saves them a trip to the Twin Cities.
Fire Prevention Week
In October, Patient Services works with the Rapid City Fire Department and local schools to help educate area children about fire prevention and safety. On average we hand out more than 3,300 Burn Awareness activity books to local children in grades K-2.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Each year the Naja Shriners puts on an Easter egg hunt, not only for the shriners and their families, but also our shrine healthcare patients and their families. This, however, is not open to the public.
Please plan to join us on the Saturday before Easter at 11:00 am for the Easter egg hunt and a light lunch at the Naja Shrine Center at 4091 Sturgis Road.
Please call & let us know if you are coming by calling 343-4279.
